Andhra Pradesh as a Knowledge society: focus areas listed

Good old Andhra Pradesh is at the forefront of state-level knowledge strategies in India. It is also one of the more tech-savvy states at the forefront of IT boom. The Hindu newspaper regularly reports on the knowledge policy initiatives in South India. What is striking in this coverage is the use of the label "knowledge society". Till recently the most prominent labels used in context of india were "information society" and "knowledge economy". The use of knowledge society as a policy label in context of india is very recent even though the term, according to Armand Mattelart was actually coined in early part of last century in India by scholar AK Coomaraswamy:
